Current membership and responsibilities

I became a Parent Governor in February 2024 and I have since taken on the role of link governor for Service Pupils.

Governor Experience

This is my first experience as a governor, but I do have a daughter at the school which is why I decided to become a governor. I also believe that every child is different, and we should always be looking to continuously improve what the school can offer and if something isn’t working we should ask ‘why’ and look for solutions.

Professional Experience

I am a qualified project delivery professional, currently working on a large healthcare programme for Defence Medical Services.  My current role (and previous programme management roles) mean that I have had plenty of experience of governance, assurance and attending board meetings where important decisions are required to be made and people are held to account.

Personal Interests

I am a keen runner and have been a member of a running club for over 13 years, although family life means I don’t run as much as I used to (or want to!).  I love the great outdoors and hiking with family and friends.  I have an interest in food and nutrition (my daughter calls me the food police!).  To relax I love to read a good book.
