Helping your Early Years child
Parents always like to find out ways in which they can support their child's learning at home. Please click on the links to see information relating to each year group.
At Whittington we are keen to keep parents informed and involved in their child's learning as much as possible. Parents' evenings are arranged termly, where you can meet their teacher to discuss their attainment, progress and to raise any concerns or queries you may have. We also regularly hold drop in sessions where parents can look at their child's work.
In addition to this, we invite parents to attend class assemblies and open mornings to experience learning first hand.
If there is additional information that you require please do not hesitate to contact the class teacher.
Here is a parental guide to explain the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum which we have to follow. It shows development from birth through to the End of Reception Year expectations.
